Events at Third St. South

 

 

Each February, artists chosen and sponsored by The Naples Art Association, paint the wonderful buildings, fountains, plazas, and courtyards of the Third Street South historic district.  The Birthplace of Naples with its original cottages, The Pier, Crayton Cove, The City Docks, and at its center, Third Street with its shops and restaurants is a perfect model.  Watch the artists create, look for the paintings on display in the shop windows, and if you love one, bid on it as they are all for sale for the benefit of The Von Leibig Art Center where they are auctioned off.

PAINTING DAYS

Monday, February 15th and Tuesday, February 16th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

 

 

 

 

 

Third Street South will host 40 professional artists who will be painting  the streets, avenues,
parks and hidden treasures of our beautiful area.  The public is invited to come watch these
internationally and locally renowned artists as they work from 10am to 4 pm on these two days.

ARTISTS WORKSHOPS AND DEMONSTRATIONS

Wednesday, February 17th thru Friday, February 19th from 10:00 am to 4:00pm

Enjoy learning more from and about the artists. Even after Third on Canvas Painting days are over, the art continues with three days of continued artist demonstrations. Come and meet some Contemporary, Still-Life, Batik and Pastel artists as they share their knowledge and talents with the public. Free and open to the public.

Thursday, February 18th. Contemporary Artist, Peter Garon at Peter Garon Gallery, 374 13th Avenue South. "Painting Outside the Box" 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Thursday, February 18th. Impressionist Artist, Janine Wesselmann in the Gattle's Plaza. Step by step demonstration on how to begin and develop characteristics as well as her known cafe scenes.

Friday, February 19th. Batik Artist, Muffy Clark Gill in the Gattle's Plaza.

BENEFIT GALA

Wednesday, February 24th starting at 5:30 pm
