Palm Cottage House Museum Tours by the Naples Historical Society
Palm Cottage, the city's most treasured and respected symbol of Naples history, is the oldest house in Naples(1895) and a landmark in the National Register of Historic Places. Our docent-guided tours of the 3,500 square foot house-turned museum offer an exemplary of Naples history and heritage. Open in February is the new Cottage Theater, a limited 16-seat venue where visitors can relax after a tour and enjoy "Naples Oral Histories", a filmed series of first-hand accounts of Naples's past. Naples Historical Society offers a 2 1/2 hour walking tour of the Naples Historic District (listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1987). This walking tour offers the walker a glimpse of early Neapolitan life. Stroll the streets and back alleys of Naples past the old DuPont Estate, Hack's shack, and the Wedding Cottage.
