Palm Cottage - the Naples Historical Society
Palm Cottage, the city's most treasured and respected symbol of Naples history, is the oldest house in Naples(1895) and a landmark in the National Register of Historic Places. Our docent-guided tours of the 3,500 square foot house-turned museum offer an exemplary of Naples history and heritage. The Cottage Theater, a limited 16-seat venue where visitors can relax after a tour and enjoy "Naples Oral Histories", a filmed series of first-hand accounts of Naples's past.  Adjacent to the museum/cottage is The Norris Gardens which chronicle Naples landscape history over the last 100 years. Naples Historical Society offers a 2 1/2 hour walking tour of the Naples Historic District (listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1987).  This walking tour offers the walker a glimpse of early Neapolitan life.  Stroll the streets and back alleys of Naples past the old DuPont Estate, Hack's shack, and the Wedding Cottage. Third On Canvas.

This event was created five years ago to celebrate the spirit of our artists and the beauty of historic Old Naples. Third Street South is pleased to again host this important event to benefit The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Uup to 60 artists will be painting outdoors throughout the picturesque Third Street South district.

The artwork created during the painting days will be sold at the Third on Canvas Auction to be held at Sea Salt Restaurant. Throughout the event, the paintings will be sold via live and silent auctions and wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
