With an exceptionally large group of art galleries and antique shops, Third Street South draws collectors of English, European, American, and Asian works from the 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. In the many art galleries, oil paintings, watercolors, lithographs, prints, and posters as well as sculptures, blown glass and other media are displayed. Eighteenth and nineteenth century landscapes, impressionists, modern works, and contemporary ones are all of excellent quality and interest. The galleries are well known with clients around the world. Special shows and openings are frequent. 

The antiques shops are like small museums housing sets of spectacular plates and other pieces from the finest porcelain factories, extraordinary crystal, objects of amazing craftsmanship in silver and vermeil. Beautiful bureaus, dining tables, chairs, desks, highboys, and other 19th century furniture as well as spectacular chandeliers and accessories are on display. Asian 19th century wardrobes, painted furniture, porcelains, Tang horses, and other treasures, as well as some Native American pieces round out the collections.
